For security purposes, all handling of bullion occurs using separation-of-duties, dual-control, and perpetual audit protocols. This means that various duties are delegated to different depository teams and processed by a minimum of two staff members within each team.

Packages arrive at centralized receiving stations in Delaware or Nevada.
Packages are accepted by the Receiving Team. The journey begins in Nevada or Delaware.
The receiving team accepts and handles packages.
Packages enter the pending stage – received but not yet verified.
These packages are in the pending stage.
Packages are moved to the receiving area and opened under the camera by the Vault Team.
Package contents are verified against the packing slip/shipping manifest.
Packages are moved by Transfer Team to Input/Output Verification area.
I/O Team verifies that shipping documents, bullion and system entries reconcile.
If an error is discovered, an investigation is initiated.
Bullion deposit is reported to the customer.
